A finished mascot photo shows the overall look, but it cannot tell you everything about the materials or how the costume is made. If you are ordering a custom character, ask to review a few specific details before confirming production.
Request a clear photo or short video of the proposed outer fabric. Check its texture and colour, and ask which details will be printed, embroidered or made from a different fabric. If colour accuracy is important, discuss it before the materials are cut.
Ask which materials are planned for the body and head. Large body shapes, defined facial features and detailed sculpted forms may need different structures. Photos taken before the outer fabric is fitted can show how the shape is built.
Close-up photos of seams, openings and the inside of the head can tell you more than a distant product shot. If the head includes a fan, ask to see it operating. A short try-on video can also help you assess the costume’s overall shape and the wearer’s movement.
Before shipping, review clear front, side and back photos of the completed costume. Compare its proportions, colours and facial expression with the approved design. Raise any concerns while the costume can still be inspected.
You do not need a long technical report. A few honest, well-lit photos and short videos of the actual materials, production steps and finished costume can make the review much easier. Share your design with us, and we can discuss which details you would like to see during production.
